Product description

Generic Information: Qingwanrui (China)

Qingwanrui (青万瑞) is a Chinese-market brand of regorafenib manufactured by Nanjing Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a major domestic oncology manufacturer. Each film-coated tablet contains 40 mg of regorafenib, and this pack holds 28 tablets. Regorafenib is an oral multi-kinase inhibitor used to treat three advanced cancers: previously treated metastatic colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal stromal tumour that has progressed on earlier targeted therapies, and hepatocellular carcinoma that has progressed after sorafenib.

What Is Regorafenib (Qingwanrui) Used For?

Regorafenib is approved for adults with metastatic colorectal cancer who have already received fluoropyrimidine-, oxaliplatin- and irinotecan-based chemotherapy plus anti-VEGF and, where applicable, anti-EGFR therapy. It is also used for locally advanced or metastatic gastrointestinal stromal tumour that is resistant to imatinib and sunitinib, and for hepatocellular carcinoma in patients who have progressed on sorafenib. In every case it is a later-line disease-control therapy rather than a first-line option.

How Does Regorafenib Work?

Regorafenib blocks multiple kinases that drive tumour growth and new blood-vessel formation. Its targets include the VEGF receptors 1, 2 and 3, the angiopoietin receptor TIE2, PDGFR-α and β, FGFR-1 and 2, KIT, RET, and the RAF-1 and BRAF kinases. By shutting down this broad network of signals, the drug simultaneously slows tumour-cell proliferation and starves tumours of the blood supply they need to keep growing.

Indications

The three approved indications are advanced colorectal cancer after standard chemotherapy, imatinib- and sunitinib-resistant gastrointestinal stromal tumour, and sorafenib-refractory hepatocellular carcinoma. Treatment should be initiated and supervised by an oncologist with experience in these malignancies, and patients must have adequate liver function and blood counts before starting.

Dosage

The recommended dose is 160 mg (four 40 mg tablets) taken once daily with a low-fat meal. Therapy follows a 28-day cycle: 160 mg daily for the first 21 days, then a 7-day treatment-free break. A 28-tablet pack therefore covers exactly one week of the active-treatment phase. The oncologist may reduce the dose to 120 mg or 80 mg daily in response to side effects such as hand-foot skin reactions or liver enzyme elevations.

Side Effects

The most common adverse reactions are hand-foot skin reaction, diarrhoea, fatigue, reduced appetite, high blood pressure and mouth sores. Serious but less frequent effects include severe liver injury, bleeding, gastrointestinal perforation, and heart problems. Liver function, blood pressure and blood counts are monitored regularly during treatment, and patients should report skin changes on the palms or soles, persistent diarrhoea, or unusual bruising or bleeding promptly.

Storage

Store Qingwanrui tablets at room temperature, protected from moisture, in the original packaging and out of the reach of children. Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the pack.

Why Choose Qingwanrui Through GLT?

For overseas patients and institutions, sourcing regorafenib through GLT provides access to a genuine Chinese-market product from an established manufacturer, typically at a fraction of Western list prices. A 28-tablet pack also makes it straightforward to start therapy or bridge a gap in supply while a longer-term order is arranged.
