Generic Information: LuciPazo (Pazopanib) 200mg — Laos

LuciPazo is a Lao-manufactured generic of pazopanib from Lucius Pharmaceuticals (Lao) Co., Ltd., a Vientiane-based manufacturer with a broad portfolio of oncology generics. The product is supplied as 200 mg film-coated tablets in a 120-tablet bottle — a convenient monthly supply at the standard 800 mg once-daily dose, which requires four 200 mg tablets per day. LuciPazo is Lucius's pazopanib offering for advanced renal cell carcinoma and soft tissue sarcoma.

Lucius Pharmaceuticals uses a distinctive "Luci" prefix across its oncology line, so buyers familiar with other Lucius products will recognise LuciPazo as its pazopanib offering. Pazopanib is a multi-targeted angiogenesis inhibitor originally developed as Votrient, and the 200 mg strength is the workhorse presentation used across dose adjustments.

What Is LuciPazo Used For?

LuciPazo treats advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) in the first-line setting and after prior cytokine therapy, as well as advanced soft tissue sarcoma (STS) in patients who have received prior chemotherapy. These are vascular-driven cancers where pazopanib's anti-angiogenic effect slows tumour growth and disease progression.

How Does LuciPazo Work?

Pazopanib, the active ingredient in LuciPazo, is a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor that primarily blocks vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, -2, -3), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR-α, -β) and c-Kit. By inhibiting these kinases, LuciPazo disrupts tumour angiogenesis — the formation of new blood vessels that tumours need to grow — thereby starving the tumour of nutrients and oxygen.

Indications

  • Advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC), first-line and after prior cytokine therapy.
  • Advanced soft tissue sarcoma (STS) in patients who have received prior chemotherapy.

Dosage and Administration

The recommended dose is 800 mg once daily, taken as four 200 mg tablets, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Tablets are swallowed whole and not crushed. A 120-tablet bottle provides 30 days of therapy at the standard dose. Dosing is adjusted for hepatic impairment, and liver function and blood pressure are monitored during treatment.

Side Effects

Common adverse reactions include diarrhoea, hypertension, hair colour changes, nausea, fatigue, decreased appetite and vomiting. Pazopanib carries a boxed warning for severe and sometimes fatal hepatotoxicity, so liver function must be monitored before and during therapy. Other effects include hypothyroidism, haemorrhage and QT prolongation; patients should report yellowing of the skin, unusual bleeding or palpitations.

Storage

Store LuciPazo below 30°C in the original bottle, protected from moisture and light, and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Why Choose the GLT?

GLT verifies each LuciPazo batch against the manufacturer's documentation and provides a transparent, traceable supply route for Lao generics. Lao-made pazopanib is typically priced at a small fraction of the branded originator sold in Western markets — often several times lower — which makes long-term anti-angiogenic therapy far more sustainable for patients and institutions. We provide clear purchase documentation and direct contact for ongoing support.
